Blog post from Grace and Nazia
Dear, parents and guardians.
We finished our light and shadows unit! ☺
Since we are done the light and shadows unit we’re making our very own photo books!!!
In science we started simple machines as a new science unit! ☺
Great examples are: gears, levers, ramps/inclined planes, screw, pulleys, ladders, wedge, stairs and rollers.
Our first experiment was to make and use a roller that would move a text-book across your desk. We had five minutes to make our roller by using anything in our classroom.
In math we also started a new unit ,we finally started multiplication!
Our goal is to know our basic facts from 1x1 to 9x9 , we might even do up to 10x9!! We all bought home a multiplication table, remember to work on it! Remember our friendly numbers are: 2, 5 and 10. Here in our classroom we are working on arrays that will help with our multiplication.
Guess what! We finished our social studies region booklet, so we get to make a project on all the six regions! At home try giving a mini test on our social studies knowledge.
The teachers have started reading us a new read a-loud book, it’s name is Coraline . It’s really interesting so far! We can’t wait to hear the rest of it! :D
